The 24 plans are becoming all the more clear...yes...my plan is coming to fruition.....

    Sorry.

Here's a general outline of what I suppose will happen. Everyone comes over to my house around noon on Thursday the 2nd and we eat some and get started. My mom has agreed to make chili, Amanda and I are going to make salsa and guacamole, Jenny has hinted that she might bring the Fry Daddy, and Paul has offered to bring highly caffeinated sodas. If you're coming, bring some food. I also figure that we're going to be getting a bit antsy around dinnerish, so we're going to have to frolic outside for a while. I couldn't possibly say when the actual watching will end, but I'm hoping it's going to be noonish or before on Friday, because I know some of you have lives. Anyway, that's the general plan. E-mail or IM me or Jenny or Amanda if you're able to come.

Merry Christmas and happy holidays to everybody from the whole touched by an anvil crew. Except for you, we don't really like you. Everyone else though.

Here's an idea. Everybody post the best and worst gifts you got in the comments section tomorrow. Or tell us what you got someone, or what you did all day. It'll be fun and interactive.

One final thing: the tentative date for 24 Hours of 24 is set for January 2 at 10am-ish. If you're planning on coming, let me know if you can make it that day

14 months: Too long for James Bond to go without lovin' from a woman.
14 minutes: Too long to go by without James Bond killing anyone.
14 seconds: Too long for a love scene to last in a James Bond movie.

Amanda, Sarah, and I went to see Die Another Day at Crossroads. It was great.

Well, that's it. I formally declare war on "Family Circus." Did you read it today? The little girl is poking through her grandmother's jewelery box looking at all the rings and the caption goes, "Grandma! I guess you're the LADY of the rings!" So "Family Circus" makes the list of Things that Are in Big Fucking Trouble When the Revolution Comes.

Well, the reformatting went well, and I've had no trouble so far reinstalling everything from the CDs I burned. However, due to unforseen problems I have to download the movies I had on my hard drive again, since my mom's laptop won't let me get the files back. I was able to transfer The Sims over ONE FILE AT A TIME, so at least I won't be going through withdrawal symptoms or anything. Now if I could only get Adam over here to give me Jedi Knight II....

Anyway, Amanda and I had another adventure last night when we went to see The Two Towers (and oh my dear sweet Jesus was that a good movie. See it. SEE IT NOW.) Of course it was sold out when we got to the theater, so we stood around outside Park Place's box office trying to decide what to do. And in true 13-year-old fashion, we decided to sneak in. So we got tickets to the 10:00 show of Harry Potter (with my mom's free passes she got from work). The old bait and switch. It was a good thing Amanda brought her smuggling purse, because we walked over to Food Lion and got some drinks and Swedish fish. We got back to the theater, walked past the growing line for LOTR and chilled in Harry Potter for a while. Around 20 after we went to scope out the situation and buy some popcorn, and the line was curled around the whole lobby. "Chumps," we thought to ourselves. We sat in Harry Potter for a while longer and around 10:40 made our move. The plan was to ostensibly be going to use the restroom and scout out the security and slip into the theater without the ushers noticing. However, our plan was foiled by the complete lack of any ushers to sneak by. So we just walked into the theater and took some seats in the front. We could only see about 12 pixels of the screen at a time, but it was enough. The movie was so fantastic I could almost forget about the funny-smelling 30ish fanboy sitting next to me and muttering through the whole movie. You think I'm exaggerating. Every time they would change locations or someone would come on screen he'd be like "Isengard!" or "Nazgul!" or just start mumbling to himself for minutes at a time. You think I'm joking. I'm not. I don't know if he was there with anyone or just trying to impress me with his knowledge of the books, but he's lucky he made it out of the theater with all his original teeth. Amanda's opinion of the movie may be tainted by the fact that it was over 3 hours long, and she had to pee during about 2 hours and 50 minutes of it. On the whole, a good time was had by all. See this movie.

Hey, you know what sucks? WHEN YOUR COMPUTER CRASHES FOR NO REASON WHATSOEVER. Yeah. And then you have to reinstall windows for just long enough so you can back up all your data and then FORMAT YOUR GODDAMN HARD DRIVE and lose all your stuff. And then you have to reinstall everything you just erased BECAUSE OBVIOUSLY I MADE BABY JESUS MAD AND THIS IS MY PUNISHMENT.

ahem. Sorry, I'm feeling a little rage right now.

Jesus H. Sorry I haven't posted in so long but I've been busy like you wouldn't believe. I had 5 papers in a week. Man, that was some shit. And exams. It's exam week AGAIN. Anyway. OMG OMG OMG OMFG I saw Andy on teh TV!!!!!1 He gave a masterful performance as "Typing German Sailor" in James Cameron's Expedition Bismarck on the Discovery Channel. I was moved to tears. If anyone can teach me how to put video captures on the internet I'll totally do it.

In other news, I made the most epic Christmas CD ever the other day. Here is the track list, e-mail me if you would like a copy. It's totally whoa.

Also: I took a pantsload of pictures of the ice storm, so I'm posting them to the intra-web sometime soon.

I'll post again when I don't feel like my brain is runny goo.

See, I do this every Sunday night and you'd think I'd learn. It starts with Adult Swim on Cartoon Network. I watch The Oblongs, a cartoon about some messed up folks. Then I skip the next two cartoons or so because they suck. Then it's The Brak Show, then Space Ghost, then the one where the hands are the same colors as the shirts and the lines squiggle. Then it's Comedy Central for that claymation show about those two guys, then The Critic, then Duckman. And by that time it's 3 o'clock in the morning and I have a 9am class. So I try to get some sleeping in, but I usually don't fall asleep until 4 or so. My alarm goes off at 8am and I either push snooze in my sleep, or worse, turn the whole beeping contraption off. And then comes the moment. I wake up, roll over, and think to myself, "Man, I feel well-rested. Hmmm. Sure do. SHIT!" and it's anywhere between 9:30am and 3pm. This morning it was 9:35am. Last f'ing day of class and I sleep thru my first class. I woke up at 9:35 and was at the classroom by 9:40, dressed and everything. That's no small feat. Of course, the asshat professor had let everyone out early, so they were leaving when I got there. And I wouldn't care except that he has an attendance policy and I skip that class more often than I attend. I've got an A except for attendence. If I get a C in that class I'm going postal.

So, I've decided that the solution to this problem is that I need my ass kicked. A lot. What I'm wondering is, do you think Mr. T does ass kicking for hire? Because I feel that having Mr. T thoroughly kick my ass would really motivate me to go to class and whatnot. I will also accept offerings of ass kicking from the general public. Qualified applicants only, please.

Damn you, Cartoon Network. Rot in hell, Comedy Central.

Since Sarah hasn't posted on this, a nice winter ice storm has overcome the triangle. My mom called me at 8am this morning to let me know they didn't have power. Gotta love moms. At NCSU we do indeed have power, and have heard some of the surrounding area still does not have it. Classes are cancelled and the university is closed. Roads have melted and things look pretty decent for driving out there. I went to the dining hall for lunch and basically everyone and their whole dorm was there. Good food was scarce, but I managed to have a lunch of peaches and a salad. Last night I called into work and ended up not going. I abandoned my good buddy Chris behind the stand and ended up going to the basketball game instead. NCSU whooped on Northwestern. I feel bad for any school whose color is purple. It just not intimidating at all. The fans took a liking to a Northwestern player with the last name "Seacat." I felt bad for him at first, but realized he must get it everywhere he plays. By the end of the game we were cheering when he got the ball and scored. SEA CAT SCORE, SEA CAT RUN, SEA CAT SIT!
