CODA: Ray Charles died Thursday morning of complications of liver disease. Blind since age six from glaucoma, the R&B legend went on to win 13 Grammys and was inducted into both the Rock and Roll and Jazz halls of fame. He was 73.
I still get chills anytime I hear Ray singing "America the Beautiful." He will be missed.
"How do you tell a communist? Well, it's someone who reads Marx and Lenin. How do you tell an anti-communist? It's someone who understands Marx and Lenin."

Movies you should be looking forward to this summer:
Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban - June 4 - trailer -Best of the Harry Potter books, and not directed by sucky Chris Columbus. Also, Gary Oldman.
Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story - June 18 - trailer -Ben Stiller, Vince Vaughan, Hank Azaria, and Office Space's Stephen Root. Hilarity damn well better ensue.
Spider-Man 2 - June 30 - trailer -You may remember director Sam Raimi as the man who directed the greatest movie ever made, Army of Darkness. Also, Doc Ock.
Anchorman - July 9 - trailer -This movie is supposed to be amazing. Will Ferrell is always brilliant. Also involves former Daily Show correspondent Steve Carrell and Fred Willard, who has been in every Christopher Guest movie (which means he has loads of Funny Street Cred)
The Village - July 30 - trailer -M. Night Shyamalan's 4th film, looks pretty creepy. Joaquin Phoenix is awesome, so is Adrien Brody.
