Everyone post a funny story or at least tell me what you've been up to for the past week. I haven't really had any good laughs while in Colorado and the vacation period is wearing off and I'm actually starting to miss people.

I typed this yesterday and am now posting it. Denver is awesome except I am sick from the altitude. I have a constant headache and I'm still not used to the time difference. Two hours is a big deal when I want to call someone and it's 10 here but 12 there. Oh well. I have my laptop tv set up so I can watch 24! But the crazy thing is that Mountain time starts primetime at 7pm. Maybe cause all those farmers need to get to bed early. Who knows.

I’m typing this from Terminal C of the RDU Airport. Sure, it’s the last possible moment left for me to be saying goodbye. I’m ok with that. The members of the league are fabulous and everyone has had high ambitions. I never thought that I would be the first to leave. When Chun was first applying for jobs in Boston and NYC I was sure she would find something and we’d be sending her off first. I guess the extra time I was spending in school made me think and I really just needed to find something to do after college. If I had done an internship during college I would probably have had an entry level job somewhere, even if it was volunteering first before getting a paid position. Cool governmental internships happen in the summer and my summers were always spent rockin’ the C20. I guess you could blame it on them. I just couldn’t leave them either until the last possible moment.
My favorite league memory was October of 2002 when Burney and I came up to Boone for Chun’s birthday. It was a Saturday and we came early and baked a cake and everything. Then Chun got done with her football game and came straight over to Amanda’s after and we were just chilling in Amanda’s living room like it was any other day. It wasn’t any other day though. It was one of the defining trips in league history. We’ve followed it up with plenty of other adventures: excursions to Busch Gardens (including the silica gel incident), a trip to Washington DC, Topsail Island beach, and San Francisco: JL goes West.
So whether we’re in the triangle rockin’ the suburbs or on separate continents, there will always be a Justice League.
From what I've heard and read, not many people are giving the Panthers a chance in hell of winning the game. They're pointing at the fact that they lost at Chicago during the regular season, their defense is so great, and that the often-injured Rex Grossman will be starting rather than Kyle Orton. Blah, blah, blah.
The facts, as I see them: -This is Rex Grossman's first career playoff start. First-time quarterbacks were 0-4 in the wild card round. This will be Jake Delhomme's 6th playoff game.
-This is only Grossman's NINTH start, total. Three years' league experience, 3 games per year. This guy is a fragile porcelain doll compared to Jake.
-This is Coach Lovie Smith's first NFL season, and his first playoff game. Coach Fox is in his 4th season and making his second trip to the playoffs.
-Carolina's defense is currently the second-best in the league. #1 is not the Bears.
I'm not seeing how this adds up to a huge Bears win. The Panthers played by far their worst game of the season in Chicago, and still managed to hold the Bears to 13 points, 10 of which were off turnovers deep in Panthers territory. If Carolina plays with poise (i.e. no turnovers), they have a great chance of heading to the NFC championship game. I'm not saying they're going to win, because the game is extremely, extremely losable and makes me very nervous. First team to 10 wins.
I'm ordering a iPod and am going to get it custom laser engraved cause it's free. What should I get put on the back? I get 2 lines with 27 characters each. Some ideas so far:
