On Saturday, I gotta work from 10 until at least 5pm. I can bring my stuff and get changed and be ready from here or go back to Cary. Are we going to get dinner beforehand?
On Sunday I don't have to work until 5pm incase we want to hang out after the ballet.
Paul promised me a room full of hot frat guys but the only one worth noting is his friend Zach. Too bad he's got a gf and is off to medical school in Texas in the fall.
The night consisted of appetizers and cocktails, dinner, presentation, and dancing. Most of the active brothers were there and maybe 5-6 alums. I didn't meet everyone but I was probably the oldest date there. Even the dates of the alums were seniors in college. Made me feel ancient to say I'd been out of college for a year and a half and did something with my life for ten of those months. Paul's introduction of me was "We went to high school together" and I never even revealed my secret identity as theatre manager extraordinaire. We swung by the campus housing of the frat afterwards for the afterparty but it was extremely lame so we left to drink beer and watch arrested development. A great night ending at 5am.
*Jenny is wearing Cover Girl Eye Enhancers 4-kit shadow in Shades of Gray and Maybelline Define-A-Lash Mascara
Practicing my make up application. A little rough but it'll be better on Saturday. Thanks covergirl for having detailed instructions for using a 4-kit eye shadow. Thanks maybelline for having kick ass mascara.
I got caught up in the promises of the mascara and didn't notice they don't make it in a waterproof variety. Whoops. I like the product but definitely would have bought waterproof in something else if I had none. No wonder it came off so easily with my make up remover.
I was headed home from work on Sunday night and as I was going through the light at Old Raleigh and Laura Duncan, I got T-boned by some fucking dumbass in a Jeep running his red light. Luckily, neither of us was hurt (except for feeling like I got my ass beat for the next few days) and there was a witness who was kind enough to stop and tell the police that I had the green light, so the other guy's insurance is going to pay for everything. The damage is estimated at $11,000, but the frame is most likely bent so even if they fix him he won't be the same (or as safe) as he was before.
So, I have to get (and bond with) a whole new car, which is supposedly on its way up from Georgia as we speak. It's another black Jetta with gray leather interior, a 2006 model. It has 8000 miles on it, a 2.5L engine (.3 less liters than Stanley, which I doubt makes a difference), 5 speeds (one less than Stanley) and less attractive tail lights. But the seats are heated and there's a sunroof. I haven't 100% decided to buy it, seeing as how I've only seen pictures and haven't driven it yet. But I feel confident in saying it won't be as totally bitchin as my old car. *sniff* I'll miss you buddy.
