Jon started an argument with me in the car today. It went something like this:
Jon: Who is your favorite band? Jenny: It was BFF but they broke up so my favorite artist is Ben Folds. Jon: My favorite band is U2. They are the best band of all time. I listened to their cd ____ in the car this morning. So many good hits and they just keep going...blah blah blah Jenny: Did you ask me who my favorite band was just so you could tell me who your favorite band was and then tell me all about them? Jon: Yeah, U2 is just so awesome. Jenny: Stop with the infomercial. Emily: I don't know who U2 is. Jon: Ever heard of Bono? Emily: Yeah, the guy who does all those charity things. Jenny: Before he did that he was a musician that sold lots of records. Jenny and Jon try to sing examples of U2 songs Jenny: Like I told Blair, most of my music I like doesn't come until 1995. Jon: I don't like most of this contemporary music. Jenny: Well you need to get with the times. Jon: Most Rolling Stone editors would say the top albums and songs came before 1995. Jenny: I'm not disputing that. I just don't listen to them. Jon: I'm not trying to start an argument, you just don't listen to good music. Jenny: Yes you are. I don't judge your music. Stop trying to fight with me.
